Gary Hendley Promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations for EDC.

HOUSTON, TX - EDC Moving Systems announces the promotion of Gary Hendley to Sr. V/P of Operations reporting directly to the President, George Gilbert. In this position, Gary will have direct responsibility for the branch operations located in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. Hendley brings 38 years of moving and storage experience to this job, 25 years of which have been with EDC Moving Systems.

Prior to joining EDC, Gary was the operations manager with Larmore Moving Systems of Houston, Texas. He had previously spent 9 years as General Manager with Ace World Wide Moving & Storage, an agent for Atlas Van Lines in Houston, Texas.

Gary began his career with EDC in Houston as General Manager of IBM Distribution Center. In 1990, he transferred to San Antonio as General Manager. During the next 19 years, EDC- San Antonio has been the most successful branch in the EDC system. He will bring his successful background and knowledge to each of the EDC locations.

Prior to entering the Moving Industry, Gary served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps and is a Vietnam veteran.

Gary serves his community as a National Board Member of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. He is Vice Chairman of the Southwest Movers Association and a Board Member of the Texas Corvette Association.

EDC Moving Systems has been servicing customers throughout the State of Texas for over 34 years, providing distribution service, household goods relocation, and warehousing and office relocation service. EDC is an agent for Atlas Van Lines.
