Michael Pursley

Michael Pursley joined the management team at EDC Moving Systems as General Manager of its Austin, Texas Office in April of 2010. Prior to joining EDC, Mike was with Central Transportation Systems of Austin for 11 years and served as the General Manager. He had previously been in sales at Burr Transportation as well as a long distance Owner Operator for both Ace World Wide of Wisconsin and Thomas Transfer of California. In total, Mike has 35 years in the industry.

Michael has worked at every level of the moving industry. His vast experience and personal connection with all aspects of the moving business have created a passion for what he does.  Michael began his career with the Atlas Family in the 70’s and is excited to return.  Michael’s high sense of self-discipline and organization skills has greatly benefited every organization he’s been associated with. 

Michael is a true “Texan at Heart”.  As a transplanted Austinite, Michael has a true understanding of the city’s heartbeat and business culture.  Originally from Pennsylvania, he headed west as soon as he could, never regretting the move for a second.

Happily married to wife, Sandi, they share absolute joy in their family, to include 2 grown children and 5 grand children.  In his spare time, he enjoys reading and gardening.  Michael also enjoys being an active part of a great church community, and is involved in lay speaking and mission work.  Michael and Sandi also enjoy traveling, discovering new places, and forming new friendships.
